OPTUSONE80PROJECT FESTIVAL
The OPTUS ONE80FESTIVAL took over Harmony Park in Surry Hills on 27 Jan 2008, with over 1000 people coming down the check out the Top 10 entries on the big screen.
Everyone enjoyed Tasty noodles and potato salads served by
Plated. Meals were accompanied by beer and wine that heralded from the
Cricketers Arms Hotel.
Kicking off the festivities were local band the Cops, who played a great set for the growing crowds. Meanwhile, Banshee’s tunes made sure everyone was primed for the screening on sunset.
The winners were announced following the screenings.
Noah Taylor presented the Judges choice award to:

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners, the Top 10, and everyone that entered.
After the applause and speeches, MTV’s brand new VJ Ruby Rose randomly chose wristband numbers for 3 Samsung prize pack giveaways, and closed the evening by telling everyone to take the furniture home with them. Like last year, the audience was only too happy to do so!
ONE80 team would like to say a huge thank you to our esteemed judging panel, Neil Armfield, Noah Taylor, Emily Barclay and Alex Dimitriades, who all made it down on the day and expended much time, energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire project.
LAST YEARS EVENT
Last year The OPTUS ONE80PROJECT Street festival kicked off in true style with well over 700 people joining in the festivities. Yurong street was full to brimming with people enjoying a cool late afternoon beer and tasty noodles. The Temper Trap played a rousing set with hit after hit including Sirens and My Sun.

All the OPTUS ONE80PROJECT Judges came down to the event, and the ONE80 team would like to thank Abbie Cornish, Neil Armfield, Nash & Joel Edgerton and the lovely Alice Bell for your time and support during the project.
The winners were announced and the judges choice was awarded to Karl Mather & Zenon Kohler for Takokaki City. Then the viewers choice award was given to Ben Briand for Hammer Bay.
