Amy awakens in a hostile, supernatural purgatory for children – The School. Horrified by the disappearance of children, taken by the ‘Un-seen’, and an unwilling surrogate mother to a handful of misfit kids, she attempts to escape. Amy discovers that demons inhabit some of the classrooms and a bizarre plant can offer magical protection. An outcast, she is hunted by the bullying leader of the school, Zahak. The more she learns, the more she begins to question the mythology lurking in the murky damp walls. Who is the ghostly child that haunts her and what mysterious powers does the ‘Principle’, a devilish lapdog, controlled by Zahhak, (or does Zahhak…) If Amy is to save her friends she must first confront Zahhak and Challenge the Principle. Only then can she find her way home…
